Greenpath Financial Wellness Named to Companies That Care 2021 Honor Roll for Third Year
FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan – (BUSINESS WIRE) – For a third year, GreenPath Financial Wellness, a national not-for-profit that provides financial advice, has been inducted into the Center for Companies That Care Honor Roll. This list recognizes 13 for-profit and not-for-profit employers based in the United States who have consistently demonstrated the 10 characteristics of socially responsible employers, maintained excellent workplace practices and active community involvement. GreenPath was awarded this honor in 2017 and 2020. ClariFi, a GreenPath subsidiary headquartered in Philadelphia, also received this prestigious award.
The 2021 award highlights the efforts of companies to “incorporate the human toll in business decisions” during an unprecedented pandemic and civil unrest. GreenPath was recognized for its COVID-19 response (remote working, employee communication and outreach, flexible schedules, sponsorship circles, cash flow planning, unemployment benefits and paid time off) and its Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access (IDEA) initiative. Through IDEA, GreenPath is committed to intentionally and systematically align company resources, interactions, practices, policies and processes to drive employee, customer and community engagement to IDEA’s goals.
“GreenPath’s vision is to create and maintain a respectful, inclusive, and empathic culture that inspires our employees to be themselves at work,” said Kristen Holt, President and CEO of GreenPath Financial Wellness. “Through IDEA principles and practices, we leverage the individual and collective voices, perspectives and experiences that contribute to the financial well-being of our diverse customers and communities.”
“Our Honor Roll employers have always done an excellent job showing employer commitment,” says Marci Koblenz, Co-Founder and President of Companies That Care many challenges of today have to be overcome. They have emphasized communication, wellbeing, safety, relationships, learning, listening and inclusion to do the best for everyone who works in and with their organization. ”
GreenPath’s IDEA work is tied to its mission: to empower people to lead financially healthy lives. Given that many of the underrepresented communities it serves have been marginalized in the past, GreenPath will rethink its services and impact, focusing on improved, expanded programs that best meet the needs of those communities. To meet these needs, GreenPath will continue to conduct research efforts within color communities to generate the insights needed to design engaging and useful news, products and services. IDEA’s success is measured by the greater diversity of GreenPath’s leadership and workforce, its better understanding of the individual and collective needs of its workforce, and its drive to recruit, nurture and create opportunities for all team members.
Holt added, “We know that different teams get better results. By creating an equitable, positive experience for all team members, we can leverage the talent of nearly 500 people across the country to drive innovation, creativity and better results. ”
